America Has Been at War with Russia for More than 100 Years

The US and its allies invaded Soviet Russia in 1918 with over 200,000 troops, including 11,000 Americans. In September 1945, weeks after Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the US War Department drafted a secret plan to bomb 66 Soviet cities with 204 atomic bombs while the two nations were still allies; the blueprint remained active for decades and preceded the Soviet nuclear test in 1949.
