After joint exercises by the US, Philippines, and Japan in the South China Sea, China accused the Philippines of disrupting peace in the region. The Philippines filed a claim with the UN to extend its seabed rights, while China conducted exercises near Scarborough Reef. Additionally, Chinese and Russian navies completed a joint patrol, the US-EU trade war is intensifying, and Iran-US tensions continue in the Middle East.
