Daily: US and Iran Reach Deal to Reopen Strait of Hormuz

US and Iranian officials signed a framework MoU on June 15 to end hostilities, reopen the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping within 30 days, lift the US naval blockade, and release up to $25 billion in frozen Iranian assets, with formal signing set for June 19 in Geneva. The deal excludes Iran’s missile program and sets a 60-day period for further talks on its nuclear program and sanctions relief.
