Iran’s Supreme National Security Council announced a memorandum of understanding with the United States, finalized June 14 in Islamabad, to end the war and naval blockade immediately, with formal signing set for June 19 in Geneva. The deal requires Washington to release $12 billion in frozen Iranian funds within 30 days, lift sanctions on oil exports, and halt new sanctions or troop increases, while Iran reaffirms its non-nuclear-weapon commitment under the NPT.
