France’s June 2026 Status of Forces Agreement with Cyprus enables joint exercises, training, and rapid-response capabilities for French forces on the island. The United States is expanding bases at Evangelos Florakis and Andreas Papandreou, deploying Marines and V-22s, and using Cyprus as a logistics hub for operations in Lebanon and Israel, while Ankara and the TRNC oppose the moves.
